ASSOCIATION OF AZERBAIJAN CULTURAL CENTERS OF UZBEKISTAN
Оne of the most important objectives of the Association of Azerbaijan Cultural Centers of Uzbekistan, registered in 2003, is studying the native language which is successfully solved. Special class for studying the Azerbaijan language was opened for all concerns, independently of their nationality; the class was opened and successfully functions on the base of the secondary school N° 147 in Mirabad district of Tashkent. "Gardashlyk" was the first Azerbaijan national center which was set up in January of 1989 in Tashkent and another center - in Samarkand province. In 2004 the Azerbaijan Cultral Center was organized as well in Bukhara province. Today a number of artistic groups function within the centers: ensemble "Gardashlyk" which work for more than ten years, ensemble "Chanly Bel", dancing group "Azeri". These groups have not only Azerbaijan music, songs and dances in their repertoire but folklore of other peoples of the world. Ensembles participate in all festivals and festivities both in Tashkent and other cities of Uzbekistan. In 2004 the Azerbaijan cultural centers moved to a new building which was specifically constructed as a cultural-educational unit. In the premises of this buil-ding you can find a special class for studying the native language, library, painting studio for children, computer room, sport and training rooms and dance pavilions. Thanks to the cultural centers, Azerbaijanis of Uzbekistan receive papers and press-releases with the information about their historical motherland, its political, economic and cultural life. |
