CHINESE NATIONAL CULTURAL CENTER OF TASHKENT CITY

Тhe Chinese National Cultural Center was set up in May of 2001. Its main activities are to develop and strengthen international relations, to mutually enrich national cultures, to respond to requirements of the Center members for studying, preservation and development of the rich cultural heritage of the Chinese people including the Chinese language, folk art and crafts, national cuisine and festivities.
For the years of its work the Chinese Cultural Center arranged a lot of actions, which left a remarkable trace in the cultural life of the capital and the republic, in souls and hearts of representatives of different nations and nationalities who participated in these actions. Amateur art groups perform Chinese folklore and dances. One may know about the rich Chinese culture, customs and traditions at the exhibitions of national garments, house-hold goods, and diverse and exotic Chinese cuisine.
There is a special class for studying the Chinese lan-guage, and a Chinese dance study group at the Center.
In 2004 the Center has actively participated in celeb-ration of the Days of Culture of the Chinese People's Republic in Uzbekistan.
