REPUBLICAN TURKISH NATIONAL CULTURAL CENTER "AKHISKHA"
At first, the Turkish national cultural centers were established in 1991 in Bukhara and further in 1992 in Tashkent. The Republican Turkish National Cultural Center was created in March of 1997, and from that time started large-scale revival of customs, traditions, culture of the Turks and development of the native language. Earlier conducted cultural-educational work as well as work with young people has been intensified and strengthened. A lot has been done during the years of the Turkish cultural centers work. The Turkish amateur art activities has been developed leading to the creation of such ensembles as "Sevinch", "Ana-Dulu", "Akhiskha", "Azgur", folk and pop songs groups, puppet and "MIKO" theatre. The Center actively participates in art exhibitions, national cuisine festivities, national garments and many other joint actions by other national cultural centers. But one fact from not so long but rich in events life of the Republican Turkish National Cultural Center makes the Turks proud: two feature films from diaspora life -"SweetSpring" and "Duty". Intimate and fruitful contacts have been set up with the historical motherland, and first, with the Turkish Embassy in Uzbekistan. Uzbekistan and Turkish holidays such as Independence Day, Navruz, Kurban-Hait and Ruza-Hait are celebrated officially and jointly with the Embassy. Branches of the Republican Turkish National Cultural Center successfully deliver their activities in Samarkand and Navoi provinces. |
